PBRA-supported youngster Taylor Mackenzie scored a superb ninth place during the British 125GP Championship encounter at Croft this weekend.

Equalling his second-best result of the season so far, Mackenzie maintained his excellent qualifying position to cross the line less than a second behind eighth-placed Harry Stafford.

The result ensured Mackenzie picked up an ACU Academy Cup podium, enabling the Scot to bolster his current position of fourth in the Academy Cup standings - this despite missing a significant amount of the season as a result of his appearances in the international Red Bull Rookies championship.

The MMCG Motorpoint rider currently lies in 13th place in the British 125 GP Championship with just two rounds of the 2009 season remaining. Mackenzie is next in action at Silverstone in two weeks time.
