10.08.10Taylor back on the podium at Brands

PBRA supported and KRP Node 4 MMCG British 125cc racer Taylor McKenzie was in action at Brands Hatch this weekend and aiming for a podium finish as the championship battle tightens at the top. The young Scot and son of legendary Niall Mckenzie put in another mature performance securing a 2nd place finish after a hard fought race with close rival James Lodge.

Younger brother Tarran also made a real step up this weekend as he continues his learning curve in a championship full of young talent. Tarren put in a gritty performance and battled hard to finish 23rd a season best result at one of the most demanding circuits in the world.

Following another strong performance Taylor commented This weekend was good for me. I have definitely learnt a lot and I feel like I am leaving Brands Hatch a better rider which is great. I was running consistently 2nd all weekend with James Lodge putting in some impressive times at the front of the field. I thought I had the pace to beat him in the race but I was really struggling in the first sector to keep with him. Still I am happy to be on the podium again.
