2010 was a hectic year for Taylor as he set out to challenge both domestic and world championships. The Leicestershire-based youngster set his sights on the UK crown in the national 125cc championship. If that wasnt a hard enough task in itself, Taylor also accepted the invitation to compete in the 2010 Red Bull Rookies Cup a championship that caters for the cream of the crop when it comes to up-and-coming racing talent.
The season saw Taylor secure numerous wins at domestic level, finishing the season in second place overall a great achievement for the 17-year-old while balancing commitments in two separate series. Taylor also showed great form in the Red Bull Rookies one-make series, securing regular top ten finishes.
So for 2011, Taylor will head to the world scene and compete in the FIM World 125cc championship for the Worldwide Race squad. The challenge is daunting to say the least, but the ever-improving Scot continues to demonstrate an amazing level of maturity and inept ability to learn quickly. Taylor will no doubt be hoping he can covert his domestic form to the world series and secure some great results.
